Judges:

Magdalena Hiltbrunner
SWITZERLAND
Passionate cynologist, judge, dog exhibitor and dog owner.
FCI judge since 2009. Special breeding judge for the Great Danes, Landseers and Leonberger. Currently honored to judge the FCI Group II. My judging activity has successfully taken me so far across the Europe. Continuing education is essential for a modern judge, with a lot of interest and commitment I get to know other FCI groups. Personally, it is also important for me to pass on theknowledge I have acquired to breeders and exhibitors.
Until 2016 active board member of the Swiss Club for Great Danes and exhibition
manager. Currently, board member of the Swiss Molosser Club and Consiglio
direttivo SIA – board member of the Italian Great Dane Club.
I currently live with a Great Dane and Welsch Corgi Pembroke. In my life I have
owned and showed many different breeds: German Shepherd, Airedale Terrier,
Doberman, Rottweiler, Bouvier des Flandres, several Great Danes and Welsch Corgi Pembroke. As a former breeder of Great Danes, my involvement in cynology is primarily a judge. I prefer to own males, train and show them.
At the exhibitions I select the anatomically best dogs that present their breed-typical appearance and do not show any extremes.

Alicja Mech
POLAND
For over 30 years, I have been involved in cynology as an exhibitor, and for 25 years, I have
been a breeder.
I am an international FCI Group II judge (specialty: Molossoid and Swiss Mountain and
Cattledogs and other breeds).
I am also a board member of the Great Dane Club in Poland and Koszalin branch of the
Polish Kennel Club (ZKwP), as well as the organizer of numerous club, international, and
national dog shows.
Over the years, dog shows and my connection with dogs have become my greatest passion.
Molossoid breeds have always held a special place in my heart.
Dogs are not only my passion but also my everyday life – they accompany me daily,
enriching my life with their friendship, dignity, and wonderful character.
Although Great Danes are my greatest love, I also have a deep appreciation for Leonbergers.
Their majestic appearance, temperament, and exceptional bond with humans never cease to
fascinate me.
That is why I consider it’s a great honor to judge this remarkable breed at the upcoming ILUH
World Championship 2025 in Poland.
I sincerely thank the Board of the Leonberger Club for this prestigious recognition and trust.

CZECH REPUBLIC
• My work as a judge started in 2015 and I became international judge for FCI group 1 & 2. I am also a judge for the competition of junior handling. I had the honour to judge in the Czech Republik, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Austria, Russia, Slovakia and Switzerland.
• Since 2008, I work as a breeding advisor
• Since 2018 I am also the President of Czech Saint Bernard Club.
• Leonberger is a breed that is very close to me and I really like it. Not only because the St. Bernard dog named Barry took part in the begining of the breed. The Leonberger is also the first breed that I judged, after the St. Bernards. I had the honor to judge this breed not only at international and national dog shows here in the Czech Republic but also in foreinght countries. I already judged 8 Club and Specialty shows in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Latvia too. It is a great honor to judge the IULH Leonberger World Championship 2025 in Poland.
• There were always Saint Bernards in our family. My father and grandfather were also a breeders of this breed and that is also a reason why I fell in love with Saints since my childhood and I’m still faithful to this breed. I found my own kennel with prefix „od Strrazcu hor” in 2005 and since that time we had almost 60 litters of Saint Bernards. I bred cca 80 dogs which are champions and junior champions, 30 inter champions, a several World winners and European winners and also few WUSB winners. 2 of my own bred St. Bernards won the title BIS of WUSB Show (World Union of St. Bernards). The dogs from my kennel are living in the 26 countries around the world. I show my dogs more than 20 years in the Europe.
